Job summary

Whitecrow Research Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced L3 Production Support professional for banking applications. You will manage incidents, problems and knowledge, and participate in the full lifecycle from analysis to production support.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and vendors, review code, and mentor junior developers within an Agile/DevOps framework to ensure timely, quality fixes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of banking/financial services IT experience.
• Strong production support and application development background.
• Experience with incidents, problem management, RCA and production fixes.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Team lead or senior developer experience preferred to guide juniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 production support for critical banking applications, including incident, problem and knowledge management.
• Analyse and resolve complex production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Handle end-to-end application lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and production support.
• Review existing code, develop fixes and perform unit testing where required.
• Work with business stakeholders, application groups, Group/domain teams and vendors to resolve issues and deliver fixes.
• Support application enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software delivery follows established development, quality and service management processes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers/support team members and participate in Agile/SDLC activities.

L3 Production Support professionals for a leading bank in Malaysia, providing support for critical banking applications. The role involves incident, problem and knowledge management, with responsibility for the end-to-end application lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and production support.

Key responsibilities

Provide L3 production support for critical banking applications, including incident, problem and knowledge management

Analyse and resolve complex production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA)

Handle the end-to-end application lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and production support

Review existing code, develop fixes and perform unit testing where required

Work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, Group/domain teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues and deliver application fixes

Support application enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure software delivery follows established development, quality and service management processes

Provide technical guidance to junior developers/support team members

Participate in Agile/SDLC activities and contribute to process, technology and application improvements

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline

6+ years of relevant banking / financial services / IT experience

Strong experience in production support and application development

Experience handling incidents, problem management, RCA and production fixes

Strong hands-on experience in either C# / .NET or IBM AS400 / iSeries

Experience with MS SQL / SQL or proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, COBOL and CL programming depending on technical track

Banking experience, particularly Investment & Wealth Management applications, is preferred

Experience with Agile and DevOps practices

Candidates with team lead / senior developer experience and the ability to guide junior team members will be preferred
