Job summary

S SQUAD SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer to provide onsite network operations and technical support. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Fortinet/Palo Alto firewalls, routing, switching, VPN, SD‑WAN, and enterprise network troubleshooting.

You will handle incidents, perform RCA, coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams, and support after-hours when required. The role is based in Malaysia with onsite duties.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Network Engineering/Network Operations experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet and/or Palo Alto
• Good knowledge of VLAN, STP, OSPF; basic BGP/EIGRP
• Experience with VPN, IPSec, SSL VPN and SD-WAN

Responsibilities

• Handle L2 network incidents and escalations within SLA
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, VPN, SD‑WAN and connectivity issues
• Manage Fortinet/Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT and VPN
• Perform RCA, network changes, upgrades and maintenance
• Monitor network performance and infrastructure health
• Support LAN/WAN/MPLS/ISP connectivity
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs and internal technical teams
• Provide onsite support during critical incidents and planned maintenance
• Support after‑hours/weekend activities when required
