Job summary

User Experience Researchers Pte Ltd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Cloud Network Security Engineer to provide Level 2 operational support for enterprise security services in cloud environments. You will resolve incidents, assist with deployments, and keep networks secure and reliable in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires hands-on networking and security expertise, including cloud networking principles, VPNs, and firewall technologies, with English fluency and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Telecommunications, Networking or Network Security.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPSec VPN, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS and Firewall technologies.
• Experience with public cloud networking principles, specifically Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for cloud-based network security services, including Firewalls, Web proxies, application delivery/load balancing, DNS services, and VPN technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems related to network security infrastructure and services.
• Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to meet SLAs and operational standards.
• Implement infrastructure changes following change management processes and documentation standards.
• Ensure all network security solutions comply with defined architecture and operational standards.
• Support operational activities including incident ticket resolution, change implementations, customer query handling, service monitoring and escalation.
• Maintain operational documentation and contribute to continuous service improvements.

The role involves incident resolution, implementation support, operational troubleshooting, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure services.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with network security technologies, cloud networking, and strong troubleshooting capabilities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for cloud-based network security services, including:
  • Firewalls
  • Web proxies
  • Application delivery/load balancing
  • DNS services
  • VPN technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems related to network security infrastructure and services.
• Work closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure services meet agreed SLAs and operational standards.
• Implement infrastructure changes following established change management processes and documentation standards.
• Ensure all network security solutions comply with defined architecture and operational standards.

  • F5 BIG-IP
  • IPSec VPN
  • Web Proxy solutions
• Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise or managed service environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident and change management.
• Relevant certifications are a plus, such as:
