Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and local accounting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with tax compliance and regulatory requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and documentation.
• Performing journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Supporting the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information and clarify transactions.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
