Job summary

GAHARA SDN BHD is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, prepare monthly reports, and support tax compliance. The role requires independence, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines within a Malaysian regulatory framework.

The candidate will handle accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, budgeting, and year-end closing activities. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian tax requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and expense monitoring.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly and year-end closing accounts.
• Handle tax-related documentation and liaise with auditors and tax agents.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-control opportunities.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
