Job summary

uParcel is establishing its first Malaysia warehouse and fulfilment operation in Kuala Lumpur. You will own the end-to-end setup, adapt the Singapore playbook for Malaysia, and hire/lead the KL team.

You will work closely with Singapore teams while taking full ownership in KL, delivering from facility search to day-to-day execution. The role requires 5–8 years in warehouse/logistics, strong leadership, and ability to translate operational needs into system requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or fulfilment operations.
• Experience setting up or scaling a new site, facility, or market.
• Proven ability to manage a project end-to-end.
• Strong people leadership with hiring, training, and frontline management.
• Ability to translate operational needs into system requirements with technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on approach during launches.
• Willing to be on the warehouse floor during early stages.
• Familiarity with Klang Valley market is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel to Singapore for setup/knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and shortlist suitable warehouse facilities in Klang Valley.
• Lead negotiations with landlords/agents; coordinate lease, fit-out, and move-in.
• Set up storage layout, racking, packing stations, safety systems, equipment.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, licensing, and workplace safety.
• Learn and adapt Singapore SOPs for inbound, storage, pick-pack, outbound, returns.
• Document and tailor SOPs for Malaysian operation.
• Build training materials and standard operating procedures for KL team.
• Collaborate with Singapore tech team on WMS and related software.
• Plan headcount and hire initial KL warehouse team.
• Own daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, fulfilment, dispatch, inventory.
