Job summary

TECHMAN ELECTRONICS (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Kitting Supervisor in Penang to oversee daily kitting operations, ensuring accurate picking, labeling, and timely delivery to production lines.

Candidate should have 3–5 years in manufacturing or warehouse roles with 1–2 years in supervision, strong BOM/inventory knowledge, and proficiency with ERP/MES/SFC systems. Will collaborate with multiple internal functions to maintain smooth production flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong BOM, Work Orders and inventory control knowledge.
• Familiar with ERP/MES/MOM/SFC systems.
• Good leadership, communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily kitting activities according to production requirements and Work Orders.
• Ensure materials are picked, counted, verified, labelled, and prepared accurately.
• Deliver complete kits to correct production line on time.
• Lead and monitor Kitting Operators according to workload.
• Maintain 100% material accuracy during picking and kitting.
• Verify part numbers, revisions, quantities, lot numbers and status before issue.
• Investigate shortages and inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure materials are ready before production starts.
• Maintain 5S in the Kitting area.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality and Engineering.

Job description

Responsible for supervising and managing the Kitting operation to ensure all required materials and components are accurately picked, verified, prepared, and delivered to the production line according to the production schedule. The Kitting Supervisor will lead the Kitting team, ensure material accuracy and traceability, control inventory discrepancies, and coordinate closely with Warehouse, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering to support smooth production flow and on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities

Plan and supervise daily kitting activities according to production requirements and Work Orders

Ensure all materials are picked, counted, verified, labelled, and prepared accurately

Ensure complete kits are delivered to the correct production line/station on time

Lead, allocate, and monitor Kitting Operators according to daily workload

Ensure 100% material accuracy during picking and kitting

Verify part number, revision, quantity, lot number, and material status before issuing to production

Investigate shortages, excess materials, wrong parts, and inventory discrepancies

Monitor production requirements and ensure materials are ready before production starts

Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, Work Instructions, BOM and material specifications

Maintain good 5S standards within the Kitting area

About you

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, material control, kitting, or production environment

At least 1–2 years of supervisory/team‑lead experience preferred

Good understanding of BOM, Work Orders, material picking and inventory control

Good knowledge of ERP/MES/MOM/SFC systems

Good leadership and manpower management skills

Strong attention to detail and material accuracy

Good problem-solving and communication skills

Able to work under pressure and support urgent production requirements

Basic Microsoft Excel skills

Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred
