Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meat, and other food items.
• Assisting in the cooking and plating of dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment and sanitising surfaces and utensils.
• Monitoring storage and ensuring proper labelling and rotation of ingredients.
• Supporting stock management and reordering supplies as needed.
• Operating ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely.
• Following food safety protocols to meet health regulations.
• Responding to kitchen orders and assisting during busy periods.
• Collecting and organising dirty dishes and equipment for washing.
• Reporting equipment faults or safety concerns to senior staff.

About the role

We are seeking a Kitchen Crew member to join our culinary team in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. This is a hands‑on, practical role that plays a vital part in the smooth operation of our kitchen. As a Kitchen Crew member, you will contribute directly to food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and the overall efficiency of our food service operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a fast‑paced, professional kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meat, and other food items
• Assisting in the cooking and plating of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including sanitising work surfaces, equipment, and utensils
• Monitoring food storage practices and ensuring proper labelling and rotation of ingredients
• Supporting the kitchen team with food stock management and identifying when supplies need replenishing
• Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors
• Following food safety and hygiene protocols consistently to meet health and safety regulations
• Responding promptly to kitchen orders and assisting with service during busy periods
• Collecting and organising dirty dishes and equipment for washing
• Reporting any equipment faults or safety concerns to senior kitchen staff immediately
