Job summary

Mee Tarik Faizal Kong is seeking a hardworking Kitchen Helper / Kitchen Assistant to assist in daily kitchen operations at Mee Tarik Faizal Kong @ Lotus's Setia Alam. The role involves food preparation, maintaining hygiene, and supporting the cook with ingredients and basic cooking tasks.

Working 6 days per week with duties based on the roster; weekend and public holiday work required. EPF, SOCSO & EIS contributions, medical leave, staff meals, and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• No prior working experience required; training will be provided.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to stand for long working hours.
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Possess a valid Food Handling Certificate and typhoid vaccination, or be willing to obtain them as required.

Responsibilities

• Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established hygiene standards.
• Wash and properly store cooking equipment, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
• Assist the Cook in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping vegetables, fruits, poultry, and meat.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean kitchen walls to maintain a hygienic working environment.
• Organize and store food supplies properly according to food safety standards.
• Transfer ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as instructed by the Cook.
• Assist in basic cooking tasks, including heating soups, sauces, and preparing beverages.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Company from time to time.
