Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to own our JB market. You will manage key retail accounts and our distributor network as the sole representative in the South, driving sales targets and strengthening retail execution.

The role requires 8+ years in KAM/Sales in FMCG/health & beauty, and willingness to travel within JB and the Southern region, with occasional trips to HQ. A diploma or degree is required.

• Proven track record managing major pharmacy or retail chains.
• Willingness to travel within JB and the Southern region, with occasional HQ trips.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow key retail accounts in JB and strategic partners; drive sales targets and business reviews.
• Manage distributor relationships end-to-end: performance, inventory health, replenishment, issue resolution.
• Plan and execute trade promotions, manage trade spend, track ROI, and conduct post-promotion reviews.
• Champion retail execution: store visits, availability, pricing, planogram compliance, merchandising standards.
• Spot and pursue new business opportunities: expand listings, distribution points, and visibility in JB and the South region.
• Track competitor activity and market trends; feed insights to HQ to sharpen strategy.
• Act as JB on-ground lead; coordinate daily operations and report performance to HQ.

About the Role

We're looking for a commercially driven, hands‑on Key Account Manager to own our business in Johor Bahru. Based on the ground as our sole representative in the South, you'll manage key retail accounts — including major pharmacy and retail partners — alongside our distributor network across the region.

This is a high‑ownership role for someone who thrives working independently: driving sales targets, strengthening retail execution, and building the relationships that grow our presence across Southern Malaysia.

What You'll Do

• Own and grow key retail accounts in JB and other strategic partners — drive sales targets, account plans, and business reviews.

What You'll Bring

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Retail Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years' experience in Key Account Management, Sales, Trade Marketing, or Retail Sales — FMCG, retail, consumer goods, or health & beauty preferred.
• Proven track record managing major pharmacy or retail chains.
• Solid grounding in distributor management — sales performance, inventory, replenishment, and commercial coordination.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with sharp negotiation and relationship‑building instincts.
• A self‑starter who's comfortable owning the JB market independently, with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel within JB and the Southern region, with occasional trips to HQ.
• Valid driving licence and own transportation.

As we expand our regional footprint, this role has the potential to grow into broader Southern Region and Singapore‑related responsibilities — working closely with our Singapore team as that market develops.
