Job Summary

Job Summary: The Junior Systems Administrator evaluates, delivers, modifies, maintains, and supports the development, implementation and operation of servers, network infrastructure and server hardware and operating systems, to meet identified business needs of the Health Services Authority (HSA), utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. The successful candidate provides support for the operations, management and maintenance of our complex network, servers, desktops computers, printers, and telecommunications systems supporting all aspects of our healthcare delivery mission. including administering and solving problems on Microsoft 365, Email Archiving, VMware, Active Directory, Mitel VoIP, Cisco switches and firewalls, spam filters, backups, GE PACS and other Windows Server Services. The candidate provides ongoing training to all users on the use of desktop, network, and server resources, and as necessary create and update related training and user manuals.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business or Computer related field, OR an Associate degree with 5 years Information Technology experience, may be considered. A post-graduate (Bachelors) experience would be an asset. Industry certification in one or more of the following areas: Cisco networking, Microsoft systems, IP telephony, and storage systems engineering would be an asset. Candidates must have above average people skills with substantial experience of handling user contact, keeping the customer’s needs continually in mind when solving IT problems. The candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge of managing server computing in an enterprise environment of over 800 endpoints is essential. He/she should have Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365. Liaison on IT infrastructure projects with the Security, Business/Clinical Analyst teams is needed. Must be self-driven and display good decision-making and time management skills.
