Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to provide costing analysis for each project, obtain price comparisons from craftsmen and suppliers, and manage payment claims and bills for verification.

The role requires a Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, strong Excel skills, and the ability to travel to project sites. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with 1–2 years of experience offering an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent required.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with 1-2 years of working experience in Quantity Surveying or related field will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of cost estimation, Bill of Quantities (BQ), measurement, and construction costing.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a project team.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide Costing Analysis for each Project.
• Obtaining cost price comparisons from craftsmen and suppliers (at least three prices).
• Manage current payment claims and review all bills from subcontractors and suppliers before sending them to General Manager for verification.
• Monitor quotations from craftsmen during construction so as not to exceed the contract budget.
• Make briefings related to BQ with the design and project team before entering the site for each project.
