Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to prepare cost estimates, BQ, and tender documents, and assist in cost planning and budgeting for projects.

You will support tendering, source quotations from suppliers, and help administer contracts including variations and change orders. The role also covers monitoring expenditures and preparing payment claims, with active coordination with project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
• 1–2 years’ experience in QS, Procurement or Tendering.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), and tender documentation.
• Assist in cost planning and budget preparation for projects.
• Assist in the tender process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating submissions, and preparing recommendation reports.
• Source and liaise with suppliers/subcontractors for quotations and pricing.
• Administer contracts, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing contract variations, change orders, and related documentation.
• Monitor and track project expenditure against budget.
• Prepare progress payment claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.
• Prepare and submit variation orders, claims, and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth cost and contract management.
• Attend site and project meetings when required.
• Ensure all QS documentation is accurate, updated, and filed according to company procedures.
• Comply with statutory requirements, company policies, and project-specific standards.
