Job summary

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or equivalent.
• Professional membership with a surveying body (AIQS, RISM or equivalent) or eligibility.
• 1–2 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor; fresh graduates may apply.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement and cost management principles.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation.
• Manage project budgets and cost controls from inception to completion.
• Monitor expenditure and provide cost reports to managers.
• Conduct valuations and interim certificates for progress payments.
• Negotiate contract variations and claims with contractors/clients.
• Prepare final accounts and resolve disputes on project costs.
• Perform site measurements and verify work progress.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation for audit and compliance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest efficiency improvements.
