Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Junior Purchasing Executive to support sourcing and procurement activities, ensuring materials, products, and services meet competitive prices, are delivered on time, and comply with quality standards.

The role involves preparing POs, sourcing quotations, maintaining supplier data, and coordinating with Production, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, and Operations to fulfill purchasing requirements and monitor stock levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years of purchasing/procurement experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, equipment, and services according to company requirements.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) based on approved purchase requests.
• Source quotations from new and existing suppliers and compare prices, quality, lead time, and payment terms.
• Maintain and update supplier information, price lists, product specifications, and purchasing records.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, outstanding items, and back orders.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure purchasing requirements are fulfilled.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ensuring sufficient stock availability.
• Verify purchase orders, delivery orders, invoices, and other purchasing documentation.
• Prepare purchasing reports and assist the Purchasing Manager with procurement-related analysis.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.
