The Junior Technician will assist the Maintenance Team in maintaining production machines, equipment and factory facilities, focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role involves daily maintenance duties, basic electrical and mechanical tasks, and supporting installation and improvement projects while maintaining

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot machines and perform basic repairs.
• Proficient with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Able to read electrical drawings and machine manuals.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance (PM) practices.
• Good communication and teamwork; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisior in daily maintenance activities.
• Perform routine inspection and basic troubleshooting of machines and equipment.
• Assist in Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
• Assist in machine breakdown repair and recovery.
• Support basic electrical and mechanical maintenance work.
• Assist in maintaining pumps, motors, compressors, sensors, pneumatic systems and other equipment.
• Support factory facility and utility maintenance activities.
• Assist in machine installation, modification and improvement projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance records and work areas properly.
• Perform other duties and provide maintenance support as assigned by the Supervisior or HOD.
• To comply with thecompany’s instruction for any additional task required by the Management.

BEREX TECH (M) SDN. BHD. is a Korean-based manufacturing company currently located in Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. We manufacture mattress and water purifier products under the Coway brand and support daily production and operational activities. Please note that the company will be relocating to Bukit Raja, approximately 5 km from the current location. Further details will be shared with successful candidates during interview.

Job Summary

Assist the Maintenance Team in maintaining and ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of production machines, equipment and factory facilities. The Junior Technician will support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection and improvement activities, as well as provide technical support to the HOD and team as required.

Duties / Responsibilities

Assist Supervisior in daily maintenance activities.

Perform routine inspection and basic troubleshooting of machines and equipment.

Assist in Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.

Assist in machine breakdown repair and recovery.

Support basic electrical and mechanical maintenance work.

Authority

Authorized to perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, minor troubleshooting and repair within assigned responsibilities. May report and elevate machine, facility and safety issues to the Supervisior or HOD, and stop equipment when an immediate safety risk is identified in accordance with company procedures.

Required Skills / Abilities

Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Basic knowledge of machine troubleshooting

Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM)

Able to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments

Basic understanding of electrical wiring, sensors, motors and control components

Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems, pumps and compressors

Basic knowledge of facility equipment and utilities

Able to read basic electrical drawings and machine manuals

Able to identify and replace basic machine spare parts

Basic computer skills for maintenance records and reports

Good observation and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork

Willing to learn new machines, equipment and maintenance skills

Able to follow safety procedures, work instructions and HOD instructions

Able to work independently when required and support the Maintenance Team as needed
