Job summary

CapBay is seeking an IT Executive to maintain and support CapBay's IT environment in Kuala Lumpur. You will provide 1st level technical support, manage hardware/software issues, and assist with system maintenance and IT administrative tasks, including purchasing and inventory.

The role involves creating IT documentation and SOPs, contributing to user manuals, and supporting the help desk to deliver efficient IT services to end-users.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant IT support experience or related field.
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Strong computer skills with ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st level IT technical support to end-users and hardware maintenance.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed.
• Assist with system maintenance, upgrades, and IT admin tasks like purchasing and inventory management.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and user manuals.

About The Role:

The IT Executive role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of CapBay’s IT environment. You will be responsible for providing 1st level technical support to end-users, managing hardware and software troubleshooting, and assisting with system maintenance, upgrades, and IT administrative tasks like purchasing and inventory management. This position involves direct interaction with users to resolve technical issues and contributing to the creation of IT documentation and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Provide 1st level IT technical support, hardware maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members and assisting in coordinating with external suppliers when needed.
• Support systems & PC upgrades, installations, and maintenance.
• Offer technical support for PC/laptop/printer and peripherals, and common software applications.
• Communicate effectively with users of information services and systems.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of user manuals and documentation.
• Support the help desk and providing technical support services to end-users.
• Assist with IT-related administrative tasks, including basic purchasing and inventory management.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is:

• 0-2 years of relevant working experience in IT support or a related field.
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Highly competent in computer skills.
• Networking knowledge is a plus.
• Customer service-oriented attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Initiative and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
