Job summary

Alta Exchange in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Finance Executive (part-time) to support day-to-day finance operations in a fintech/exchange environment.

You will assist with AR/AP, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting, while maintaining accurate records. Fresh graduates are welcome; 2-3 days per week on-site involvement is required, with hands-on exposure to Xero and everyday accounting tasks, plus room for growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; on-site 2-3 days/week.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily finance operations including AR and AP.
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documents.
• Assist staff expense claims and month-end close.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare accounting schedules and reports as required.

Alta Exchange is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Finance Executive (part-time) to support our finance team with day-to-day finance tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career looking for flexible hours and hands‑on exposure to finance operations in a fintech/exchange environment.

• Assist in daily finance operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with staff expense claims
• Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare accounting schedules and reports as required.
• Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as assigned
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Able to commit 2-3 days a week and work on‑site in office
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping/accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software (Xero) is an advantage.
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team
