Job summary

Silitech Technology Corporation Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Mechanical/Materials/Polymer engineer to support new product introductions and manufacturing projects. You will review customer drawings, support RFQ feasibility, DFMs, BOMs, and tooling inquiries under guidance of senior staff.

You will coordinate tooling fabrication, trials, samples, and production handover, track schedules, report progress, and interact with Sales, Sourcing, Process Engineering and QA to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Mechanical/Materials/Polymer Engineering.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, project engineering or NPI.
• Basic knowledge of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Skills in project coordination, problem solving and communication.
• Knowledge in silicone rubber molding, tooling or APQP/PPAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings and specifications; assist with RFQ feasibility, DFM reviews, BOM preparation and tooling inquiries.
• Manage assigned projects from RFQ through tooling development, sample approval and production handover under guidance of Senior Engineer or Section Head.
• Prepare and update project schedules; monitor outstanding actions and report progress or delays.
• Coordinate tooling fabrication, trials, repairs and modifications with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support sample preparation, dimensional and functional verification; follow up corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Sourcing, Tooling, Process Engineering, Production & QA to meet project requirements.
• Prepare engineering documents including process flows, FMEA, Control Plans and Engineering change records; support PPAP/ISIR submissions.

- Follow applicable ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 procedures and perform other related duties assigned by the Section Head.
