Job summary

Malaysian Bar is seeking a diligent conveyancing assistant to handle sub-sale transactions, developer projects, transfer perfection, and related documentation.

You will prepare SPAs and loan docs, monitor critical dates, liaise with clients, banks and land offices, and support lawyers with filing, billing and reporting. Training provided for 1-2 years experience; strong accuracy and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years conveyancing experience acceptable; training provided.
  • Experience in sub-sale, housing development projects, SPA and loan docs is an advantage.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, STAMPS, EFS, land office systems and banking portals is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A responsible, meticulous and organized individual.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle conveyancing matters including sub-sale, developer projects, perfection of transfer, discharge/DRR, due diligence and other conveyancing matters.
  • Prepare SPA, loan documentation for sub-sale, project, perfection and discharge/DRR and other conveyancing documentation.
  • Monitor and track critical dates including completion, stamping, presentation, CKHT filing, signing and deadlines.
  • Maintain and update file status and prepare weekly status reports.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, correspondence and related conveyancing matters.
  • Liaise with clients, developers, banks, LHDN, land offices and government bodies.
  • Provide timely updates to lawyers and relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date files and records.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing and payment vouchers.
  • Ensure all conveyancing matters are monitored and attended within required timelines.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Handle and responsible in conveyancing matters including sub-sale, developer projects, perfection of transfer, discharge/DRR, due diligence and other conveyancing matters.
  • Prepare Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA), loan documentation for sub-sale, project, perfection and discharge/DRR and other conveyancing documentation.
  • Monitor and keep track of critical dates including completion, stamping, presentation, CKHT filing, signing and other relevant deadlines.
  • Maintain and regularly update file status and prepare weekly status reports.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, correspondence and other matters relating to conveyancing transactions.
  • Liaise and coordinate with clients, developers, banks, LHDN, land offices and other relevant government bodies.
  • Follow up closely on the progress of files and provide timely updates to lawyers and relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date files and records.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing and preparation of payment vouchers
  • Ensure all conveyancing matters are properly monitored and attended to within the required timelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • With 1-2 years conveyancing experience is acceptable - training will be provided for suitable candidates.
  • Candidates with experience in handling sub-sale, Housing Development projects, SPA and loan documentation will have an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, STAMPS, EFS, land office systems and banking portals will be an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
