Job summary

FastLane Group is seeking a Junior Client Accountant (Malaysia) to manage client accounts, prepare financial reports, and support daily accounting activities. The role involves Xero usage, banking transactions, and liaison with clients across SG & MY while working remotely with JB's office base.

You should have 2+ years in accounting, a relevant Diploma/Degree, and good English/Chinese communication skills for client interactions. This is a client-facing position with room to grow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
• Experience with Xero or other accounting software is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Fluency in English and Chinese for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary contact for assigned clients and maintain professional communication.
• Independently manage and maintain client accounts.
• Prepare month-end financial reports and related schedules.
• Post journal entries and data entry into accounting systems.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of records.
• Process banking transactions via clients' online banking platforms.
• Maintain client records in Xero and support tax computations as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and day-to-day administrative tasks.

Junior Client Accountant (SG & MY)| Remote | Office based in JB

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Junior Client Accountant on behalf of our client, a one-stop business services provider that helps businesses enhance their operating efficiency and meet their business needs.

The Junior Client Accountant will be responsible for managing assigned client accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting accounting and taxation activities, and providing day-to-day client liaison. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to client accounting, Xero, financial reporting, banking transactions, and taxation while working collaboratively with the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a point of contact for assigned clients and maintain professional client communication and liaison


• Independently manage and maintain assigned client accounts


• Prepare month-end financial reports and related accounting schedules


• Perform data entry and post journal entries accurately into accounting systems


• Prepare and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank statement reconciliations


• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records


• Prepare and process banking transactions through clients' online banking platforms


• Perform accounting data entries and maintain client records in Xero


• Lead or assist in projects undertaken by the Company


• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks and other operational support, where required


• Assist with taxation computations and related accounting work

Requirements:

• Preferably 2 years or more of working experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar field


• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred


• Experience with Xero or other accounting software will be an advantage


• Basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting


• Fluency in both Chinese and English is a must for client communication.

Salary: RM4,000 – RM5,500 per month
