Private Advertiser in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking a diligent Accounts Assistant to manage daily accounting tasks including AP, AR, and general ledger entries. You will prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts and liaise with suppliers and customers as needed.

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Candidates with SPM/STPM and relevant accounting experience may be considered for the Accounts Assistant position.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Handle daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, receipts and other accounting documents.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly closing and preparation of management accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and payment processing.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors and other relevant parties when required.
• Assist with audit, tax and statutory requirements.
• Support the Finance team in ad-hoc accounting and administrative matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures and internal controls.
