Job summary

Kucingko in Malaysia (Selangor) is seeking an Accountant who enjoys numbers crunching, excel spreadsheets, and financial reporting. You should be comfortable with new technologies and maintaining confidentiality.

You will maintain accounting data, assist in financial statements and month-end processes, manage accounts receivable, treasury, taxation, and cash management, while driving improvements in financial processes.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of Accounting and Taxation principles
• Mathematics proficiency and Excel prowess
• Experience in accounting and audit firms preferred
• Able to understand basic Mandarin is an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent, problem solver with critical thinking
• Able to work under pressure and multi-task effectively

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting data and records accurately at all times
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and support month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing
• Ensure financial reporting functions including management and statutory reporting are managed
• Manage Accounts Receivable including billing and collections
• Oversee Treasury activities including foreign currencies and hedging
• Oversee Taxation functions including tax planning and computation
• Manage Cash Management including working capital planning
• Contribute to annual operating and financial planning
• Drive improvements in financial processes (AR, AP, cash management, treasury, capex)

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• To ensure accounting data and records are maintained correctly and accurately at all times.
• To assist in the preparation of financial statements and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• To ensure the Financial Reporting functions, which shall include periodic management reporting and statutory reporting, financial forecast, compliance to accounting standards, statutory and other external requirements, are efficiently managed and maintained.
• To ensure the Account Receivables functions which shall include customer billing and collections, are efficiently managed and maintained.
• To ensure the Treasury functions, which shall include foreign currencies booking and hedging, are efficiently managed and maintained.
• To ensure the Taxation functions, which shall include tax planning, tax computation, cross border taxations, are efficiently managed and maintained.
• To ensure the Cash Management functions, which shall include working capital planning, excess cash FD placements, foreign currency holdings, are efficiently managed and maintained.
• Able to contribute to the formulation of annual operating and financial planning.
• To drive improvement in financial processes (accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, treasury and capital expenditure) to achieve or exceed targets.

• Great attention to detail is imperative.
• Strong analytical ability, particularly analyzing financial data and economic indicators affecting performance for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• A solid grasp of Accounting and Taxation principles, mathematics and Microsoft Excel

• Experience in developing clear and detailed reports
