Job summary

MIN JIAN FA CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to handle daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliation work. You will coordinate with our partner accounting firm to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting.

Requirements include a diploma/degree in accounting or finance and 1–3 years of experience. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is essential. Mandarin proficiency is preferred for client communication.

Job description

This position primarily handles the company's daily accounting tasks and works closely with our partner accounting firm. You are NOT required to hold a professional accounting license or handle tax filing - all tax submission matters will be managed by our partner accounting firm.

Key responsibilities

Handle daily accounting transactions, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation

Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure accurate records

Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date

Coordinate with the partner accounting firm, providing necessary financial data and supporting documents

Assist in preparing internal management reports and financial statements

Maintain proper filing of accounting documents, invoices, and related financial records

Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management

About you

Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

1-3 years of relevant accounting experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with daily accounting processes

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, UBS, Xero, etc.)

Detail-oriented, responsible, with good communication and teamwork skills

Proficient in Mandarin (both spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Basic communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are an advantage
