• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in residential property management.
• Proven track record of managing tenant relations and resolving conflicts professionally.
• Strong knowledge of residential leasing practices, tenancy laws, and property management regulations in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of assigned residential properties.
• Manage tenant relations, including lease administration, rent collection, and addressing tenant concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair work, ensuring quality standards are maintained and budgets are adhered to.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, budgets, and reports related to property operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies pertaining to residential property management.
• Lead, train, and motivate the property management team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Liaise with landlords and property owners, providing regular updates on property performance and financial status.
• Implement strategies to enhance tenant retention and satisfaction whilst minimising vacancy rates.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services such as cleaning, security, and maintenance.

About the role

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in residential property management, ideally in a similar role managing multiple properties or a portfolio
• BOVEA holder will be an added advantage.
• Proven track record of successfully managing tenant relations and resolving conflicts professionally
• Strong knowledge of residential leasing practices, tenancy laws, and property management regulations in Malaysia
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team effectively
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property maintenance and service delivery
• Valid driving licence and willingness to visit properties as required
