Qualifications

• Previous experience as a janitor, cleaner or in a similar cleaning services role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and knowledge of appropriate cleaning chemicals and sanitisers.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts or additional hours when required.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Relevant certifications in health and safety or cleaning services would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of all areas including offices, restrooms, corridors, break rooms and common spaces
• Empty and replace waste bins and recyclable materials in designated areas
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques
• Clean and maintain restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors and fixtures to the highest hygiene standards
• Dust surfaces, desks, shelves and office furniture
• Clean windows, glass panels and other reflective surfaces
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and reporting equipment damage or maintenance issues
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and report when stock levels are low
• Follow and adhere to all health and safety protocols and company cleaning standards
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain a flexible schedule as required

About the role

As a Janitor, you will be responsible for ensuring our workplace remains clean, safe and welcoming for all employees, clients and visitors.
