Job summary

F&B Nutrition Sdn. Bhd. in Selangor is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance across the dairy manufacturing plant.

You will handle minor repairs and document activities in CMMS, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment and a diploma/certificate in a related field.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent; Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Facilities Maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in facility/building maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing, dairy or industrial plant environment.
• Basic to solid knowledge of HVAC/air conditioning systems.
• Understanding of plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with building maintenance, lighting and electrical basics.
• Awareness of forklift/AGV maintenance and related equipment.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules, GMP/HACCP food safety, and DOSH/OSHA workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily and weekly inspections of factory premises to identify defects, leaks, safety hazards, or non-compliance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on building infrastructure, lighting, roads, drainage, forklift/AGV, HVAC and related systems.
• Execute general repairs including plumbing and steel works.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing issues; document findings and escalate major problems.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage in CMMS or logbooks.
• Ensure work complies with GMP/HACCP, DOSH/OSHA, and safety PPE guidelines.
• Support emergency repairs and coordinate with cleaning contractors for tidiness.
• Participate in monthly facilities/safety audits and drive continuous improvement.

Job description

Conduct daily and weekly routine inspections/walktroughs of the factory premises to identify defects, leaks, structural damage, safety hazards, or non-compliance issues.

Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs : building infrastructures, lighting systems, internal and external roads and drainage, forkliftd and AGVs., airconditioning & ventilation systems, water supply, drainage and treatment systems.

Execute general repairing tasks including plumbing, steel works.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical. electrical, plumbing or equipment issues; document findings with photo/ reports and elevate major problems to supervisors or external contractors.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage in the CMMS or logbooks.

Ensure all work complies with food safety (GMP/ HACCP/ Halal), workplace safety (DOSH/ OSHA) and hygience standards; use PPE appropriately at all times.

Support emergency repairs (on call rotation if required) and coordinate with cleaning contractors for compound tidiness.

Participate in monthly facilities/ safety audit and contribute to continous improvement of preventive maintenace programs.

Qualification of a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent ; Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering , Facilities Maintenance or related field preferred.

Minimum 2 years eof hands-on experiences in facility / building maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing, dairy or industrial plant environment.

Basic to immediate knowledge of HVAC/ air conditioning systems.

Understanding of plumbing systems

Familiarity with building maintenance

Knowledge of lighting and electrical basics

Awareness of forklift / AGV maintenance

Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules, GMP/ HACCP food safety, and DOSH/ OSHA workplace safety regulations.

Technical Proficiency : Hands‑on ability to inspect, maintain and repair multiple infrastructure systems with precision and efficiency.

In view of this, we are currently expanding our factory by having additional production lines which are able to manufacture all 4 can sizes – 170gram, 390gram, 505 gram and 1kg packaging simultaneously. Our expansion has also seen the introduction of our newly launched Evaporated Creamer line which is already operating at full capacity.
