Job summary

BAMBINO in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dynamic Guest Experience team member for a fast-paced izakaya environment. You will greet guests warmly, manage seating, present menus, and recommend sake, beer, or highball pairings while ensuring accurate orders and smooth service.

You will use the POS system, handle payments and split bills, maintain spotless dining areas, coordinate with kitchen and bar, and support events. A 1–2 year track in busy hospitality and a safety-first mindset are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of proven experience in a high-volume restaurant or izakaya.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including early mornings and late nights.
• Vibrant, customer-centric attitude with excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced front-of-house.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth, manage seating for tables, counters, or tatami rooms.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and suggest sake, beer, or highball pairings.
• Take accurate orders and pace transmission to kitchen and bar teams.
• Deliver dishes promptly and ensure refill and guest satisfaction through check-backs.
• Operate the POS system, process payments, and handle split bills and tips.
• Maintain clean, organized tables, stations, and dining areas; assist with restrooms as needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and floor staff to maintain smooth service flow.
• Support catering, events, and promotions as required.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation guidelines; check IDs and serve alcohol responsibly.
