Job summary

Brooks Instrument Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support across production systems in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on maintaining IT operations, troubleshooting hardware and software, and delivering effective on-site and remote support with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in an IT-related field.
• 1 year of IT-related experience preferred.
• Experience in technical support, operations, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Exposure to networking environments preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, electronics, networking, and IT systems.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
• Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT-related equipment.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to users and clients.
• Install and maintain security systems, communication systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ensure all IT installations comply with company safety, quality, and IT standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all devices, system changes, and support activities.
• Assist with basic network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft 365 (M365) user setup, basic administration, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with team members and report issues clearly to supervisors.
