Job summary

Perfect Pentagon Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain servers, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, and routers for optimal uptime and connectivity. You will provide 1st and 2nd‑level support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Based in Petaling Jaya, the role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field and 1–3 years of hands‑on IT experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1–3 years in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure maintenance; fresh grads with strong portfolios considered.
• Solid understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Google Workspace, and Active Directory.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routers, switches).
• Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, servers, printers).
• Strong problem‑solving aptitude with a logical troubleshooting approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to assist non‑technical users.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external IT vendors, service providers, and internet providers for hardware repairs or system escalations; document SOPs, network configurations, and IT troubleshooting logs.

• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software packages, laptops, desktops, and office printers. Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.


• Monitor daily system backups, disaster recovery protocols, and cybersecurity measures (anti-virus, patch management) to safeguard company data.


• Liaise with external IT vendors, service providers, and internet providers for hardware repairs or system escalations. Document SOPs, network configurations, and IT troubleshooting logs.

About you

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field.


• Minimum 1–3 years of hands‑on working experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure maintenance. Fresh graduates with strong internship/project portfolios in IT support will also be considered.


• Solid understanding of Windows OS, macOS, and Linux environments.


• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Google Workspace, and Active Directory.


• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routers, and switches).


• Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, servers, and printers).


• Strong problem‑solving aptitude with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
