Job summary

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK) is seeking an Information Technology Systems Engineer to support and manage enterprise IT infrastructure across ERP/SAP, cloud services, and server environments. You will perform troubleshooting, incident resolution, and collaborate with vendors on upgrades and security reviews.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-powered IT operations, and strong problem-solving abilities, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ Computer Science or relevant discipline with minimum CGPA 3.0 from recognized universities.
• For Executive level, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• For Senior Executive level, at least 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise IT infrastructure support and administration.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage enterprise IT infrastructure environments, including ERP/SAP platforms.
• Handle enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Administer Windows Server (Wintel) and Linux server environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 and related cloud services.
• Monitor system performance, availability and capacity.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis with internal teams and vendors.
• Coordinate with technology vendors on upgrades, patches and enhancements.
• Participate in IT audit activities, compliance reviews and security assessments.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing and business continuity initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency, including AI-enabled IT automation initiatives.

Job description

Support and manage enterprise IT infrastructure environments, including:

ERP/SAP platforms

Enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions

Windows Server (Wintel) and Linux server environments

Microsoft 365 and related cloud services

Infrastructure monitoring and operational tools

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable IT services.

Perform troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

Coordinate with technology vendors on system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and infrastructure improvements.

Participate in IT audit activities, compliance reviews, and security assessments to ensure adherence to organizational policies and industry best practices.

Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.

Explore, evaluate, and support AI-enabled IT automation initiatives, including AI agents and autonomous task execution to improve productivity and service delivery.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational guidelines.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ Computer Science or relevant discipline with minimum CGPA 3.0 from recognized universities.

Hands-on experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas is an advantage:

Networking and cybersecurity technologies

Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Linux, Cisco, cybersecurity, cloud certifications) will be an added advantage.

Basic understanding or strong interest in modern automation technologies, AI solutions, and AI-powered IT operations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Good in teamwork and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to adapt to evolving technologies.

Willing to travel.
