Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT is seeking an IT Support professional to install, configure, deploy, and support laptops, desktops, operating systems, applications, and hardware in a fast-paced environment.
You will manage the firm’s IT infrastructure, provide daily user support, troubleshoot system and network issues, and coordinate with vendors for on-site service and parts.
• Install, configure, deploy, and support laptops, desktops, operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Maintain and manage the firm’s IT infrastructure.
• Provide daily IT support to internal users via face-to-face, remote access, phone, and email.
• Troubleshoot issues related to systems, networks, hardware, and software.
• Prepare computers and conduct IT orientation sessions for new employees.
• Replace hardware components to resolve technical issues as needed.
• Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, deletion, and resolving login or password problems.
• Maintain accurate records of computer hardware and software inventory, movements, and disposals.
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty services, parts replacement, onsite support, and technical problem resolution.
• Prepare outdated computers and hardware for secure disposal, ensuring data is properly erased.
• Assist with other IT-related tasks and ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficient in common business applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Minimum 1 year experience with troubleshooting and setup laptop & desktop, first level support of email, network, server and Windows 11.
• Skilled in documenting standard and application operating procedures.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
• Passionate about technology and driven to deliver impactful technology solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
