Job summary

Getronics in Kuala Lumpur seeks a senior Network & Security Operations Engineer to administer, configure, and support WAN/LAN, routers, switches, firewalls and security appliances. You will design regional networks (AMAS) and contribute to global projects affecting 20,000+ users.

The role involves legacy network support, VOIP, data center work, and collaboration with vendors to ensure secure, scalable connectivity across 250+ sites worldwide. Mandarin proficiency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a technical field.
• 10–15 years of related IT networking experience.
• Experience with routing protocols, VLANs/VRFs, firewall filtering and security.
• Experience leading IT projects and teams to successful completion.
• Mandarin language proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead global network and security projects at scale.
• Evaluate WAN provider solutions and improve reliability and performance.
• Collaborate across IT teams to deliver secure network designs.
• Diagram and document network configurations and keep asset inventories.
• Support 250+ sites worldwide and migrate legacy networks as needed.
