Job summary

SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Technician to maintain production equipment and troubleshoot machinery across the manufacturing floor. You will support production with machine setups, preventative maintenance, and calibration to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, machine troubleshooting, or manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and maintenance procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, ability to work under pressure
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment with potential overtime or shifts; Mandarin is a plus

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and repair of production machinery, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Detect, analyze, and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment problems to minimize production downtime.
• Inspection & Calibration: Conduct regular equipment inspections, testing, adjustment, and calibration to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.
• Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams, including machine setup, adjustment, and preparation for new models or processes.
• Safety & Documentation: Maintain maintenance records and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and requirements.

As a Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting machinery, and providing technical support to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, production machinery, jigs, fixtures, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and technical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment, including overtime or shift work when required. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
