Job summary

XIN HWA SUPPLY CHAIN SDN BHD in Shah Alam seeks an IT Infrastructure Lead to oversee on-premise server environments, AD, network security, and data protection.

You will manage a small team, standardize IT processes, coordinate with vendors, and ensure high availability across servers, storage, and applications, while guiding day-to-day IT operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in IT Infrastructure/ system administration with hands-on in on-premise server management.
• Technical Skills: Windows Server; Active Directory, Group Policy; Network (TCP/IP, VLAN, Firewall, VPN); Backup solutions (Veeam); IT security & endpoint protection.
• Other Skills: Scripting (PowerShell / Bash ); Monitoring tools (Zabbix/Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Configure, and maintain on-premise servers (Windows/Linux).
• Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
• Maintain file servers, application servers, and database servers.
• Plan and execute server upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V / Proxmox).
• Configure and manage network infrastructure (firewall, switches, routers, VLAN).
• Maintain VPN, remote access, and network segmentation.
• Implement IT security policies, endpoint protection, and access control.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Manage backup & disaster recovery strategy (on-prem + offsite).
• Monitor system performance (servers, network, storage).
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Ensure high availability and system uptime.
• Lead and guide IT support team in daily operations.
• Escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Standardize IT processes, SOPs, and documentation.
• Manage IT asset inventory and lifecycle.
• Coordinate with vendors and external service providers.
• Oversee support for desktops, laptops, and enterprise applications.
• Enforce IT policies, access control, and audit compliance.
• Maintain documentation for systems, network diagrams, and configurations.
• Perform any other ad-hoc IT administrative activities as requested by HOD.

1. Server & Infrastructure
