Popular Book Co. (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to support daily IT operations across hardware and software platforms, including POS and ERP systems, and to act as the main escalation point for critical incidents.

The role involves assisting with store IT needs, equipment inventory, and ensuring data consistency between HQ and outlets, with fresh graduates welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Self-motivated with initiative and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day smooth IT operations for systems (NAV, PDA, Network, Server, SAP, E-Invoice, E-Apply).
• Provide IT support for retail activities across stores and promotions.
• Assist in generating IT-related equipment inventory for review by business units.
• Serve as primary escalation point for critical incidents with timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure data synchronization between HQ and outlets (POS, PDA Express).

Job description

Ensuring day-to-day smooth operations of the systems assigned. (eg. NAV, PDA, Network, Server, SAP, E-Invoice,E-Apply), Bookfair, Bookfest, Store Opening / Closures.

Providing IT support for retail activities (eg.new/closed stores, stores renovation, promotion settings, etc.)

Assisting in generating IT related equipment inventory listing at regular interval for business units to review.

Serve as the primary escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions.

Ensuring completeness of data synchronization between systems. (eg. HQ and outlets’ POS and store, PDA Express)

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

• A Diploma/Degree in Information Technology study, Computer Science or its equivalent
• Self-motivated with initiative and strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Working experience in similar industry/field will be an added asset
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
