Job summary

SH Cogent Logistics is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support professional in Malaysia. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT/CS/Business or related field and at least 2 years of experience.

You will manage change requests, maintain IT equipment, install and test hardware/software, and ensure security and performance across applications. Responsibilities include providing first-line user support, database access for operations, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with hardware and software maintenance, including installation, configuration and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• 1. Manage new change requests on external maintained systems from scope definition through implementation across internal, external and cross-functional teams.
• 2. Maintain, track and ensure IT infrastructure is in good order (laptops, monitors, IT equipment).
• 3. Assist with installation, configuration and testing of new hardware and software.
• 4. Ensure company system and network are protected against threats.
• 5. Provide first-line support to users on all application-related requests/enquiries.
• 6. Understand and familiarize with database structure and data contents of various applications.
• 7. Access database and perform necessary actions (query, extraction, investigation) to support operations.
• 8. Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met within approved budgets.
• 9. Follow-up and communicate with relevant parties to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• 10. Responsible for performance, availability and scalability of various applications.
• 11. Provide IT solutions aligned to the Company’s strategic objectives.
• 12. Ensure assigned tasks are completed satisfactorily on time per standards.
• 13. Any other tasks as assigned.
