Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end software implementation, system enhancement and digital delivery projects within the banking/financial services environment.

The successful candidate will manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, vendors and stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Proven track record in software/system implementation.
• Experience managing large technology projects across full lifecycle.
• Banking/financial services industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage medium to large IT projects from initiation to closure.

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end software implementation, system enhancement and digital delivery projects within the banking/financial services environment. The successful candidate will manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, vendors and stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to quality and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage medium to large-scale IT projects from initiation through implementation, go-live and project closure.
• Develop project charters, project plans, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage project scope, requirements, timelines, costs, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Establish and manage change control processes and obtain relevant project approvals.
• Coordinate internal teams, business stakeholders and external vendors throughout project delivery.
• Manage vendor sourcing, selection, implementation and performance.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to management and key stakeholders.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for project steering committees.
• Proactively identify project risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Manage project interfaces, impacts and interdependencies across multiple projects.

About you

• Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience, with proven experience in software/system implementation.
• Experience managing medium to large-scale technology projects across the full project lifecycle.
• Banking or financial services industry experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in internet banking, mobile applications, digital banking or digital delivery projects will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, risk and issue management, change management, quality control and implementation.
• Experience in vendor management and stakeholder management.
• Experience handling project governance, audit and compliance within banking/financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
