Job summary

Enovix Corporation in Penang is seeking a Senior Principal Software Developer, IT/OT (MES & Factory Systems) to lead the design, development, and governance of mission-critical software that integrates enterprise IT platforms with industrial OT environments, with MES at its core.

You will own Python, Django, and SQL solutions, architect scalable edge-to-cloud integrations, and guide architecture, AI-enabled analytics, and production readiness while collaborating across IT, OT, and business teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of programming/development experience in manufacturing environments.
Experience with MES/IT-OT integration and factory systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Python, Django, SQL, and data pipelines.
Experience building scalable, high‑availability software in production settings.

Responsibilities

Architect distributed systems and solution designs for manufacturing operations.
Design high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines.
Develop backend services, APIs, middleware, and integration layers (Python/Django).
Lead refactoring and modernization of legacy OT software.
Ensure fault-tolerant behavior for production environments.
Own MES integrations with SCADA, ERP, PLM platforms.
Build integration frameworks for OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, SECS/GEM, RESTful services.
Design edge-to-cloud data synchronization models and event-driven architectures.
Develop AI/ML features for predictive analytics and manufacturing insights.
Establish CI/CD pipelines and testing for industrial software deployments.
Define observability standards and high-availability/disaster-recovery designs.
