Job summary

Mindteck in Malaysia (Penang) seeks an Equipment Integration (EI) and Automation Senior Engineer to gather business and technical requirements, design and enhance EI and automation solutions for manufacturing. You will develop, implement, maintain, and support EI/MES systems, collaborating with CIM, IT, and Production teams to resolve MES, EI, automation, and mapping issues.

You will plan and execute User Acceptance Testing with key users, mentor L1/L2/L3 support, and troubleshoot to minimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Senior role requires 3 full lifecycle CIM/Equipment Integration/Manufacturing Automation projects including PM/leadership and two software/developer roles in semiconductor environments.
• Proficiency in SEMI standards (E4, E5, E10, E30, E37) and knowledge of CIM/E142 is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of VB.NET, C#.NET, Web Services, SOAP, XML, REST APIs; solid SQL/PLSQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather business and technical requirements and design EI/automation solutions for manufacturing.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and support EI and automation systems.
• Collaborate with CIM, IT, Production, Product, and Process Engineering to resolve MES, EI, automation, and mapping issues.
• Prepare training materials and conduct user training on MES and EI systems.
• Plan and execute UAT with key users and stakeholders.
• Mentor L1/L2/L3 support engineers to ensure high system availability.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and improve operational excellence.
• Characterize equipment, generate compliance reports, and work with vendors to meet automation standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing automation and equipment connectivity.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, SEMI standards, and best practices.
