Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an MES IT Support Specialist for a large manufacturing environment in Malaysia. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing OT/IT infrastructure to support seamless operations, troubleshooting automation systems, and strengthening OT cybersecurity.

The candidate will drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, monitor system health, and collaborate with internal and external teams to implement technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in MES development or implementation within large manufacturing.
• Proficiency in programming languages and system integration tools.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA networking.
• Strong project management and vendor coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and IT infrastructure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize OT/IT infrastructure to support seamless manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot and support automation systems, industrial networks, and production applications, using SCADA/PLC, HMI industrial control networks.
• Strengthen OT cybersecurity through access control, patch management, and backup solutions.
• Drive automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives to improve plant performance.
• Monitor system health and resolve issues to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement technical solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical support, user training, and continuous improvement for OT environments
