We are looking for a proactive, hands‑on IT Operations & Systems Engineer to oversee and maintain our daily IT operations across our manufacturing facility, central kitchen, and office environments. You will ensure seamless network stability, manage workstations and operational hardware, administer cloud systems, and provide responsive technical support to cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and maintain company‑wide local area networks (LAN, WLAN, VLAN, routers, switches, access points, and firewalls).
- Monitor network performance, uptime, bandwidth utilization, and physical cabling across production floors, dispatch areas, and office rooms.
- Manage network security protocols, VPN access, and guest networks.
End-User Support & Hardware Deployment
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktop PCs, tablets, barcode scanners, network printers, and digital signage/CCTV devices.
- Manage user access, provisioning, email accounts, and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
- Provide fast-turnaround Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk support for operational staff and management.
- Maintain an accurate hardware and software asset inventory with routine preventive maintenance schedules.
- Administer corporate cloud workspace platforms and cloud-hosted storage/servers.
- Monitor cloud backups, snapshot routines, and automated data retention policies to ensure business continuity.
- Assist with basic API integrations, cloud portal permissions, and SaaS user management.
- Translate operational team requirements into practical IT solutions with clear, user-friendly communication.
- Liaise directly with third‑party vendors, telco service providers, and software partners for equipment repairs, line upgrades, or license renewals.
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and simple end-user guides.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of practical hands‑on experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Wi‑Fi mesh/AP installations (e.g., Ubiquiti UniFi, TP‑Link Omada, MikroTik, or Fortinet).
- Familiarity with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure basics) and SaaS collaboration platforms.
Soft Skills
- Strong interpersonal and clear verbal communication skills; comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical operational and factory staff.
- Calm, systematic problem-solving approach under time-sensitive operational environments.
- Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (ability to converse in Mandarin is an advantage for vendor and internal coordination).
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
- Experience working in manufacturing, F&B, warehousing, or central kitchen environments.
- Hands‑on experience with POS systems, network‑attached storage (NAS), or IP camera / NVR setups.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Fundamentals).
