Job summary

Singtel KL (Sudong MY Sdn Bhd) seeks a dedicated IT Operations Engineer to monitor, support, and maintain SD-WAN solutions and IT infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities include incident response, health checks, and handling change requests across multiple SD-WAN platforms. Candidates should have a IT/Networking degree, 2+ years of infra ops experience, and IT networking certifications. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or technical support (LAN/WAN/Cloud/System).
• Relevant professional certifications in networking, systems, virtualization, cloud, or IT service management are advantageous.
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and support IT systems and virtualization platforms, ensuring performance and availability.
• Monitor network infrastructure components: routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions.
• Respond to incidents, document resolutions, and follow escalation procedures.
• Execute standard service and change requests across SD-WAN platforms (Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, Fortinet).
• Perform daily health checks, log reviews, and ensure tasks meet SLAs.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with specialist teams and vendors.
• Participate in maintenance activities and operational improvements.
• Maintain clear communication with IT teams and stakeholders, providing timely updates.
• Follow company policies and regulatory standards to ensure secure IT operations.

We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated IT Operations Engineers to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the continuous monitoring, support, and maintenance of customers SD-WAN solutions and overall IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical foundation, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Make an Impact by

• Proactively monitor and support the performance and availability of IT systems, including windows/servers, virtualization platforms, applications and core infrastructure services. Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for detected issues.
• Proactively monitor and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions. Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for detected issues.
• Respond to and resolve IT incidents in a timely manner, adhering to established procedures and escalation protocols. Accurately document incidents and resolutions within the incident management system.
• Execute predefined standard service requests and change requests across various SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, and Fortinet.
• Perform daily health checks, log reviews, and system performance monitoring. Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within agreed service levels.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with specialist teams and vendors.
• Participate in maintenance activities and operational improvements.
• Maintain clear communication with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users. Provide timely updates on incident status and operational activities.
• Follow company policies and regulatory standards to ensure secure and compliant IT operations.

Skills for Success

• Graduate from Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or technical support (LAN/WAN/Cloud/System).
• Relevant professional certifications in networking, systems, virtualization, cloud, or IT service management (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, VMware, or SD-WAN vendor certifications) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; keen interest in information security and network reliability.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Work Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (24x7 coverage)
• Rotational Shift: 12-hour shifts alternating between day shift and night shift, each starting at 8:30am and 8:30pm. Engineers will work a 2-days-on, 2-days-off roster
