Job summary

Zenix Aerospace UPECA is seeking an IT Manager to oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure, security, and IT operations. You will manage a team, coordinate with vendors, and drive cost-effective IT solutions.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will ensure uptime, compliance, and robust documentation, while supporting ERP, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of working experience in IT or related field.
• Bachelor degree or higher in IT or related discipline.
• Solid knowledge of Windows desktop environments and IT infra.
• Good documentation skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; handle pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management, maintenance, and configuration of servers, network infrastructure, and IT systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors on hardware/software issues, repairs, and warranties.
• Propose and implement improvements to system and network operations to minimize downtime.
• Lead and supervise IT staff and technicians; ensure security measures are in place.
• Develop and manage IT budget with Head of IT; maintain IT documentation and policies.
• Ensure compliance with IT regulations and data protection laws; provide end-user support.

Job description

Oversee the management, maintenance, and configuration of servers, network infrastructure, and IT systems.

To maintain and help out on ERP, Cybersecurity, Industry 4.0

Provide support for PC desktop, laptop, printers, firewall, internet configuration, access points, WIFI, switches, CCTV, door access system, email, anti-virus, network system, DNS, etc. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.

To coordinate, follow up and settle with suppliers/vendors on issues arising from hardware, software, system integration, repair, maintenance contract and warranty claim etc.

Propose and implement system and network operation improvement ideas Organize and schedules upgrades and maintenance to ensure minimum/ zero downtime.

Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, network problems, and other IT-related concerns. To perform maintenance including installation, configuration, upgrading and monitoring hardware and software including networking equipment.

Assist in supervising and leading a team of IT professionals, including IT technicians, support staff, and system administrators.

Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, data encryption, and access controls, to protect the organization's data and systems.

Collaborate with the IT Manager to develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation

Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, policies, procedures, and user guides

Ensure that the organization complies with relevant IT regulations, industry standards, and data protection laws.

To receive and act on any other instructions from the Head of IT.

What to expect:

Responsible for overseeing and managing the technology infrastructure and systems within an organization.

Experience and Personality Preference:

Working knowledge of windows desktop environment.

Preferably executives specializing in IT / Computer & Network / System / Database Admin or equivalent.

At least 8 years of working experience in the related field.

Skills, Knowledge Requirements:

Good documentation skills with fair knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.

Able to work independently as well as being a good team-player.

Positive attitude and able to work independently as well as being a team player.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job.

Education:

Possess Bachelor Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Diploma / Certificate in IT / Computer or related discipline.

Working Relationship:

Internal: ERP System integrates all departments within the Enterprise as so IT Manager integrates with all department heads and their respective team leaders.

External: Nil
