Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to lead our technical operations in a hybrid role focusing on business application support (ERP, POS, CRM) and strong IT infrastructure management.

You will act as the primary escalation point for end-users, coordinate with third-party vendors for upgrades, training, and UAT, and ensure data integrity across systems. Diploma or Bachelor’s in CS/IT and 3+ years in IT management are required.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT management or a related field with a focus on systems management.

Responsibilities

• ERP & POS Systems: Manage day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and administration of ERP modules, POS, CRM and Autocount.
• Business Process Alignment: Gather requirements, document system issues, and map requirements for enhancements.
• Vendor Management: Primary liaison with third-party software vendors for bugs, customizations, and upgrades.
• User Training & UAT: Coordinate UAT for patches and train end-users for high adoption.
• Data Integrity: Ensure data synchronization between POS and ERP systems.
• EUC & IT Infrastructure: Oversee hardware lifecycle, 1/2nd line support, and device provisioning.
• Network & Security: Monitor network health, configure firewalls/Switches/VPNs for security and remote access.
• Access Management: Provision user accounts and enforce access controls per cybersecurity policies.
• Backup & Recovery: Execute regular backups and disaster recovery protocols.

Overview

This role is a hybrid position focused heavily on business application support (POS & ERP systems) and backed by critical IT infrastructure management. You will ensure seamless daily operations, act as the primary escalation point for end-users, and collaborate with vendors to drive system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Support (70%)

• ERP & POS Systems: Manage the day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and administration of ERP modules, Point-of-Sale, CRM and Autocount .
• Business Process Alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document system issues, and map out business requirements for system enhancements (if any).
• Vendor Management: Act as the primary liaison with third-party software vendors to resolve escalated bugs, manage customizations, and oversee scheduled system upgrades.
• User Training & UAT: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system patches and conduct training for end-users to ensure high adoption rates.
• Data Integrity: Ensure smooth integration and data synchronization between the POS and ERP systems.

2. Infrastructure, EUC & cybersecurity (30%)

• End-User Computing (EUC): Oversee lifecycle management, provisioning, and Level 1/2 troubleshooting of corporate hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices).
• Network & Firewall Management: Monitor local network health, configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and VPNs to ensure robust data security and secure remote access.
• Access & Identity Management: Manage user account provisioning, access controls, and permissions across all business applications and servers in accordance with cybersecurity policies.
• Backup & Recovery: Execute regular data backups and disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT management or a related field with a focus on systems management.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, business process integration, software, and hardware.
• Experience in managing IT infrastructure and related resources.
• Proficient in troubleshooting software and hardware-related issues.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
