Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking an IT/Data Center Operations professional in Malaysia to support daily datacenter tasks. You will monitor job schedules, file transfers, and ensure timely delivery of critical data to Central systems.

The role requires collaboration with worldwide DataCenter staff and other domain teams. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in IT/CS, are comfortable with shift work (8–12 hours), and have at least 1 year of IT experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT/CS or related preferred.
• Able to work in shifts (8–12 hours) and has at least 1 year IT experience.
• Experience with Windows, Linux and HP-UX workstation/servers.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
• Capable of collaborating with Worldwide DataCenter staff and other domain support teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor scheduled jobs completion and status.
• Monitor file send/receive processes.
• Ensure critical files are sent/received to Central on time.
• Handle alert monitoring systems for Datacenter Infra, applications and networks.
• Use ServiceNow for Level 1 ticket handling and distribution.
• Collaborate with global DataCenter teams and other domain support teams.
• Provide Level 1 services through accurate ticket assignment to the responsible team.

YOUR ROLE

In general, the team will operate in a datacenter environment & below comprises the main tasks for handling datacenter daily operational task.

• Job schedulers : Ability to monitor scheduled jobs completion & status.
• File Senders : Monitoring send/receive files
• Ensuring all critical files to be sent & received to Central on time to the target recipient.
• Handling of several alert monitoring systems as below:
• Datacenter Infrastructure Monitoring : UPS, Humidity, PAC & Water Leakage
• Application & Infrastructure monitoring
• Network Monitoring Systems for networking systems alert.
• Service Now - Level 1 Ticket Handling
• Backup Tools
• Able to collaborate with Worldwide DataCenter staffs & other domain support teams.
• Provide Level 1 services on Service Now ticket distribution and assignment correctly to the responsible team.

Your Skills & Experiences

• Holds a Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science field & related preferably
• Able to work on shifts (8-12 hours)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in IT related field
• Able to work on Windows, Linux & HPUX platforms (workstation/servers)
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills
• Capable of working independently with self-discipline accordingly to standard procedures.
