Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a qualified tester for the Back-end MES portfolio within the DTIT team to provide testing, qualification, and support for in-house applications.

You will ensure MES operations at manufacturing sites run smoothly, with 24x7 availability and rapid incident resolution. The role requires 2–3 years MES experience and strong Unix/Linux/Windows and database skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in an international environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and in-house applications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Willingness to provide 24/7 support rotation with other team members.
• Experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in database querying (MSSQL, Oracle, MariaDB).
• Experience with web-based applications.
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in semiconductor MES, manufacturing WIP transactions, management, and integration systems/applications.
• Experience with AMAT FactoryWorks MES solutions or equalivalent solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide Software testing and qualification support and services for in-house developed application/software releases.
• Responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations of MES Solution and Integrations deployed at Back-end Manufacturing sites, maintaining 24x7 availability as per the SLA.
• The role involves resolving user-reported incidents by analyzing or debugging business cases against application behavior.
• The candidate will deploy workarounds to restore the application services in collaboration with relevant IT support teams.

YOUR ROLE
