Job summary

STMicroelectronics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Back-end MES tester to provide application testing, qualification and support for in-house MES solutions. You will help ensure MES operations, manage integrations at back-end sites, and respond to incidents to maintain 24x7 availability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in IT/CS/Engineering, strong analytical skills and the ability to work in an international environment. Knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows and AMAT FactoryWorks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and ability to work internationally.
• Ability to quickly learn new tech and in-house apps.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Willingness to provide 24/7 support rotation.
• Experience with Unix, Linux and Windows OS.
• Experience with web-based applications.
• 2–3 years in semiconductor MES or related MES integrations.
• Experience with AMAT FactoryWorks MES or equivalent solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide software testing and qualification support for in-house releases.

• Resolve user-reported incidents by analyzing business cases against app behavior.
• Deploy workarounds with IT support to restore services.

YOUR ROLE

The candidate will be part of the DTIT team, providing application testing, qualification and support services in the Back-end MES portfolio.

• Provide Software testing and qualification support and services for in-house developed application/software releases
• Responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations of MES Solution and Integrations deployed at Back-end Manufacturing sites, maintaining 24x7 availability as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• The role involves resolving user-reported incidents by analyzing or debugging business cases against application behavior.
• The candidate will deploy workarounds to restore the application services in collaboration with relevant IT support teams.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in an international environment
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and in-house applications
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Willingness to provide 24/7 support rotation with other team members
• Experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• Experience with web-based applications
• Preferably 2–3 years of experience in semiconductor MES, manufacturing WIP transactions, management, and integration systems/applications
• Experience with AMAT FactoryWorks MES solutions or equalivalent solutions
