Job summary

FENGSHI METAL TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Penang is seeking a Level 1 IT Support specialist to assist internal users with helpdesk requests. You will troubleshoot basic IT problems, install and configure desktops, laptops, and printers, and help manage user accounts and access permissions.

The role requires 1–2 years in IT support, familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, and ticketing tools, plus strong documentation skills. On-site work with office and production users.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk role.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiar with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic IT support tools.
• Experience with ticketing or helpdesk systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Able to maintain proper documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 IT support to internal users via helpdesk or ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues including printers and connectivity.
• Install, setup, and configure IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Assist in user account administration and access management.
• Provide support for email systems, system access, and password resets.
• Support daily IT operations for office and production users.
• Assist in basic network troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors when needed.
• Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and asset records.
• Assist in IT asset and inventory management.
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 2 when necessary.
• Ensure equipment and systems comply with company IT and security policies.
