Job summary

5E Resources Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia is looking for an IT Support/Network Administrator to maintain IT networks, servers, backups and disaster recovery to ensure smooth daily operations. You will provide end-user support for PCs, printers and software, manage office software and conference systems, and liaise with vendors on software/hardware issues.

Candidates should hold a Diploma/Degree in IT, have knowledge of virtualization, FortiGate firewalls and VLAN, be proactive,

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Knowledge in virtualization, FortiGate firewalls and VLAN is an advantage.
• Pro-active, enthusiastic and result focused.
• Analytical thinking and Windows environment troubleshooting skills.
• Good interpersonal skills; able to communicate and work as a team.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT network, servers, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Provide daily end-user PC, printer and software support.
• Manage office software, conference systems, CCTV, access control and user accounts.
• Liaise with vendors for software/hardware issues.
• Manage IT assets and software licensing.
• Prepare resources and brief PC training for new join staff.
• Emails, Windows servers and antivirus administration and monitor emergencies.
• Carry out ad hoc assignments and support as required.

Job description

• · Maintain IT Network, servers, backups, disaster recovery and any infrastructure related issues in order to ensure smooth daily business operation.
• · Maintain daily end-users support in PCs, printers and software related issues.
• · Maintain office software and conference multimedia, door access, PABX, copier, CCTV, operation status monitoring, user account management, user authority management, process configuration, operation process problem solving, etc.
• · Liaise with vendor for the related software/hardware issues
• · Manage IT assets and software licensing
• · Maintain and troubleshoot backup processes
• · Prepare resources (PC, software, e-mail account) for new join staff and brief PC training for them
• · Emails, Windows Servers and Anti-Virus Administration - close monitoring and manage emergency outbreak response processes.
• · Carry out other ad hoc assignments, support or activities as requires by superior and management

Required Qualifications / Experience

• · Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• · Knowledge in Virtualization, FortiGate firewalls and VLAN is an advantage.

• · Possess good analytical thinking and technical skills with ability to perform Windows environment troubleshooting and support
